Soccer Programs for Kids
The Global Premier Soccer Academy began the kids’ soccer program to provide young, skilful athletes with a proper platform to grow and hone their skills. This specially designed program was launched in 2008 to cater to young teens and children ages 15 and below. We believe that getting proper training early on will greatly improve their growth as a person and as an athlete.
This after-school program has served many kids in the past years. We are hoping and gearing ourselves for more chances to train the upcoming generation. That’s why we continuously develop our training programs and update our facilities to cater to the evolving needs of our young athletes.
Our Mission and Goals
We have one mission and that is to give countless kids a chance to reach their full potential as athletes and as a person. We have made and tailored our programs where our mission and goals are reflected.
We have partnered with countless primary and secondary schools to promote our kids’ soccer program. We’re happy to see more parents and children are starting to see the benefits of being part of the GPS Academy.
Our top-notch facilities are guaranteed to give your kid the right space to grow and perfect their soccer skills. Every coach and trainers on our staff will do their utmost best to support and nurture these young ones. We do everything we can to foster an environment of mutual respect between adults and children.
Kids’ Training Program
GPS Academy currently offers a weekly training program for kids ages 15 and below. Sessions are held on the weekends so as to not interfere with their schoolwork and weekday schedules. This specific program aims to share and teach the basic mastery of soccer and build a strong foundation for their skills to grow. Our training includes:
- Essential physical exercises to make them strong, flexible and agile
- Challenging soccer drills to master techniques
- Practice matches for skills application and to improve teamwork and sportsmanship
- Strategic planning for gameplays to teach them critical thinking and problem solving
As the leading youth and kids’ training centre for soccer, the GPS Academy is committed to offering a safe facility where they can train to the fullest.
We want kids not just to enjoy the game, but to also grow from it. Soccer has been loved and played by kids of all ages in different parts of the world. The academy is committed to continue and integrate the passion for the sport in years to come. Learn more about the soccer programs we have developed with your kids in mind.
Summer Boot Camp
The summer boot camp is an intense and all-out training program for kids. Since kids are on vacation this time, we have increased the number of training sessions for 5 days a week, instead of just once. Weekly Friday matches will be held to kickstart the national tournament series across the country.
National Tournament Series
This is the most awaited event for the young athletes in the GPS Academy. Our summer bootcamp is designed to prepare them for the ‘National Tournament Series’. Each GPSA kids’ soccer team from every region will face off weekly to become the national champions at the end of the series. This tournament places a strong emphasis on discipline, teamwork and fair play.
To become part of the official regional team, players must qualify in the assessment test that will take place a month before the tournament. Upon becoming a member, these young athletes will have to commit an extra day for training.
This tournament series will be a 2-month long event over the course of summer vacation. Qualified players will be grouped into specific brackets where they will be competing with athletes of the same age. Age groups allowed to enter the tournament are:
- Bracket 1: 14 to 15 years old
- Bracker 2: 12 to 13 years old
- Bracket 3: 10 to 11 years old
Note: Children under 10 years old are not allowed to play in the series. This age limit is strictly followed for the safety of our young athletes. We will be giving a book to players and guardians on guidelines and gameplay for the event.
This tournament series is a great way for our young players to expand their skills in a short amount of time. Check the following schedule below to see the regional matches lined up for the next year. Make sure to set them on your calendars if your child is planning to join.

Sponsored Tournament Series
Every year, the GPS Academy teams up with a corporate sponsor to hold this annual tournament series. We will be promoting here soon our next series sponsor. This will be a year-long event where matches will take place every weekend. One team from each region will qualify for the sponsored tournament finals in the last week of September.
Winners from each age bracket will earn a national championship title, a trophy and a huge cash prize from our sponsor. This is a unique experience for our young players to challenge themselves.
It will also help build unity and teamwork within the GPSA community. This is also a chance for these young and passionate athletes to build camaraderie and healthy competition within the regions. For this tournament series, we have added two age brackets. The first bracket is for 8 to 9 years old. The youngest bracket will comprise of players ages 6 to 7 years old.
Note: Please be advised that this is a separate series from the national tournament series. There will be no assessment tests done. Anyone can join as long as they can be part of an age bracket.
The GPS Academy’s ‘Unity Challenge’ aims to give other young soccer players the chance to play in our facilities through a friendly match with the young athletes under our wing. This is a good opportunity for youth and kids in the community to become united as one through soccer. Our goal is to build new friendships and strengthen them.
Your kids will definitely see an improvement in how they relate with others. This will also boost their confidence as they meet new people in a fun and dynamic environment. This is a nationwide event happening across all regions.
The ‘Unity Challenge’ will take place twice a year. The first one will take place in June and the other one will be in November. We encourage the kids and youth under our program to bring their friends along to join a game or two. There will also be short training sessions in the morning to warm them up for the matches in the afternoon.
This event is also a great tool for us to reach out to the community and increase our members. See the schedule of this event below.
GPS Academy Unity Challenge dates:
- First half challenge – June 12, 2021
- Second half challenge – November 13, 2021
